Pam, Amy, Andrew, Dave, all of the Christopherson Family,
As you know, I wrote Geoff just prior to his passing; what follows is a version of that.
You will all get through this - eventually.
A wee bit of solace for me is to imagine Geoff in a round of golf with my Dad, his Uncle Thor, and Kris, my brother - what a threesome that would be!

I am so very grateful that this difficult news has been shared with me - it is a privilege to be let in .
I wish, however, I knew what to say - finding the right words at this time seems impossible, even for someone as gabby as me!
Perhaps the precise words are not as important as how I need you to know how I feel.
Although we were geographically distanced for many years, reconnecting when I schooled in Halifax was a "restart".
And although months could go by without touching base, when we got on the phone together it was like we had just spoken the day before.
I think that says a lot.
I love that you call me "Cuz".
I know how important family is to you, how proud you are of your own children - and grand/great-grandchildren.
I can almost see you beaming when you speak of them.
And the fantastic father that you are, why wouldn't you?
I love that you never fail to check in about Mum. (Aunt Joan)
I see a lot of her in your Amy - not so much physically, but in other little ways.
I love the music you share on Facebook - well, most of it, anyway.....
You introduced me to some new bands and reminded me of songs I had all but forgotten.
My recent research into the Bishop side of our family had me perusing decades worth of photos.
I am still overwhelmed at the effort you made to attend my wedding, in Winnipeg and in the month of December!
Every snap I have of you from that event shows your smile - and what a smile you have!!
I don't think I have ever met anyone whose whole body - toes to tip of head - seems to smile.
I love that about you.
You have touched my life, Geoff, in so many positive ways, and you matter to me so much.
What I write here may appear to be about me, but it is written so that you know your significance to me is lasting.

So sorry to hear of Geoff’s passing and deepest condolences to the whole family.
What seems like too many years ago now, I had the good fortune to spend lots of time around Geoff, either at the golf course or kids sports, particularly hockey. One of Geoff’s special qualities was enjoying the moments, he had the ability, that many of us don’t, to enjoy the experience, he allowed himself to have fun and that was contagious for those around him. Those who knew Geoff had the good fortune to be met with his welcoming smile and easy going conversations.
