Dear Aunt Val and Heather,
I so wish I could be there with you today. Remembering all the things he loved including Santa Claus and motorcycles and of course lots of treats. When he was experiencing teenage hormones going shoe shopping with Uncle Fred and entranced by the sales lady or when he was told to go fill his boots and he did or you breaking him out of the hospital. He always loved being around family and will be so sadly missed. Sending you a Mikey sized bear hug.

My favorite memory of Michael was sitting on the floor in a gallery kitchen. Hugging each other and watching a cheese cake ris easy through the oven door. Fred stood by to make sure that michael did not hug too tightly.I have never known anyone who found such joy in the act of a rising cake, oh that we could see the world through Michael's eyes. With wonder and excitment and joy.

So sorry to hear of Michael's passing. I have lived next door to Michael for the last 4 years and enjoyed seeing him going out on outings. When the girls would bring him home he didn't want to get out of the car. If I was outside at that time all I had to say was "Hi Michael" and he would get out right away. He and the staff always enjoyed the cookies I brought over. Will miss him. My thoughts are with you all at this time.
