Obituary of Patricia Anne Dearman

Please share a memory of Patricia to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Age 74, of Windsor. It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of a wonderful mother, sister and friend on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at her home in Dykeland Lodge, in the arms of her loving daughter. She was the daughter of the late F. Raymond and Kathleen Agnes (Baxter) Benedict.

Pat worked at the cannery in Port Williams for a short time and left to become a member of the Loblaws team, where she worked at No Frills in Windsor and was well-known for her time spent in the bakery there. She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion for many years where she also liked to spend her weekends with her good friends dancing to the music she loved. Her dancing skills were not unmatched by her aim at the dartboard, where she remained a member of her team on the league for many years. Pat had the most gentle, pure, caring soul. That was well-known to those who knew her whether it be her family, friends or just a neighbor across the hall who she felt could use a good home cooked meal. She was a mother and a provider to many and anyone in need. A mother who passed down so many things to her children, including her strength and fighting spirit, to help them during this time where it’s needed most. She was a kind woman with the purest of hearts, who was so incredibly easy to love. Our very own earthly Angel gained her wings.

Patricia is survived by daughters, Sheri Lynne Dearman (Mike), Gypsum Mines; Leona Lucinda Dearman (Clint), Alberta; son, Shannon Patrick Dearman, Alberta; grandsons, Evan G. Patrick Mosher, Justin Scott Cruickshank (Autumn) and Colby Robert Jackson Brewster; granddaughter, Tristen Chelsie Carrier (Aaron); great-granddaughters, Quinn Morrisseau and Khione Carrier; sister, Dawn (Curtis) McCulloch; brothers, Brian (Vera) Benedict, Gerald (Debbie) Benedict and Lynn Benedict; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by brother, Gary Benedict; sisters, Gloria Gormley, Marilyn Symms, Sharon Benedict and Andrea Benedict; sister-in-law, Carol Benedict and by her special lifelong friend, Judy Newcombe.

Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). A celebration of life will be held 2-4 p.m. Sunday, June 16 in the Three Mile Plains Hall, 4474 Hwy. 1, Three Mile Plains.
