As a young man in the early '60s I was an apprentice cook .I was sent to the Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squardon to apprentice under a chef Gunnar Tollefsen and his young wife Inger .I worked with your Mom and Dad for a couple of months and always remembered the both of them for their kindness and patience with a young man learning a trade .I also remember Inger always made sure I had a break and ate a meal no matter how busy the dining room .They left that position quickly and I didn't have a chance to thank them for their kindness.I had not heard of them since and was drawn back to those wonderful days many many years ago as I read your Mom's obituary .I went on to instruct young people in cooking for some years ,then went into the financial services industry with success .Often I would think back to lessons in life taught to me by Gunnar and Inger .Both were wonderful role models .I wanted to celebrate those wonderful memories with you , their family .
