Obituary of Kathleen Isabel Bartlett
Nanny K, as she was affectionately known as to her grandchildren and great grandchildren, died peacefully on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor with family by her side, at the age of 83. Residing in Lower Sackville, she was formerly of Windsor and Newport Corner. Kaye was born on April 11, 1940 in Windsor and was a daughter of the late Owen and Helen (Benedict) Deal.
In her younger years, Kaye loved to dance and enjoyed dabbling in sales of Avon, Mary Kay and Melaleuca. She had great customer service skills and was always loved by the clients whom she served during her retail working days. Kaye will always be remembered for being “late for the party”, an inside family chuckle, as well as for her avid thrifting and love of a good bargain. She loved flashy items, especially her jewelry. Kaye was very creative and loved to sew, she was also an avid card player and loved a good game of cards, loved to read and she also loved a good bowl of seafood chowder, so much so she even got to enjoy a bowl during her final days in the hospital.
Kaye has left behind sons, John (Darlene Trenholm), Corey (Sharla); daughters, Klowa (Barry White), Marianne and Angela (Paul) Kelusky; grandchildren, Sarah (Ryan) Parker, Holly (Steve) Nielsen, Stephen and Justin Bartlett, Emelia and Jacob Kelusky, Braydon, Austin and Maksim Bartlett; great grandchildren, Emily, Katelyn, Brooklyn, Ava, Deacon, Sophia, Damian and Kalliope; step-grandchildren, Robin (Mikel) Derksen, and Shawn White; step-great grandchildren, Olivia and Abigail; brother, Gary (Betty) Deal; sister, Brenda Senyk (Edward); as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.
Besides her parents, Kaye was predeceased by her ex-husband and father to her children, John “Gerry” Bartlett and daughter-in-law, Gayle (John’s wife).
