Obituary of Rose Marie Yurcak

It is with profound sadness and shock we have to announce the sudden passing of our beautiful mother and our father's one true love, Rose Marie (Ross) Yurcak. She passed away at home, in Ellershouse, on Monday, February 26, 2024 at the age of 78. Born on May 30, 1945, she was a daughter of the late William Joseph Sr. and Julia (Nicholson) Ross.

Rose is survived by her husband of 59 years, John George Yurcak; daughter, Venus Yurcak; son, Vincent Yurcak (Melinda). She will be deeply missed by her two granddaughters, Amanda and Cody and her grandson, Ty. Unfortunately, her great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Callie and Vincent will not experience the beauty and joy she brought into the world as they grow up, but with our ongoing memories and pictures she will never be forgotten. Rose is also survived by sisters, Elizabeth Gidney (Roddy), Cheryl Ross-Perry (David), Julie Ross (Richard); brother, William Ross Jr. (Kathy); as well as many nieces and nephews.

Her spirt and memory lives in us all. We still feel her presence all around us. Everyone that met her loved her. She will forever be Our Guardian Angel.

Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). A celebration of her life will take place this summer in Digby Co. on Billy's Beach in Colloden. This was one of her favourite childhood places and memories.
