I learned about John's untimely passing only now, but my condolences are sincere and heart-felt just the same. I have known John professionally and socially for many years, going back to his position with the County of Halifax, and have developed a solid admiration of his many achievements, his panache, and his sense of humour. It was probably the latter characteristic of his that got me a job working on his St.Kitts project. I sorely miss him. Victor Zahorski
