Obituary of Robert Earl Gould

It is with great sadness that the family share that Bobby, age 59, of Nicholsville, passed away peacefully, surround by family and close friends, on Friday, January 5, 2024 in Valley Hospice, Kentville, after a battle with cancer. Born on December 18, 1964 in Berwick, he was a son of Lester “Reid” and the late Mona (Lutz) Gould.

He leaves behind his wife of 23 years, Ann (Scott); son, Zachary; father, Lester “Reid”; brothers, Danny (Marla) and Gary (Sheri); several nieces and nephews, several aunts, cousins, extended family members and close friends. Besides his mom, Bobby was predeceased by infant twins.

Bobby was very fond of doing carpentry work and spent many hours working at this passion. He loved to snowmobile in the winter and in the summer he loved boating and spending time at the family cottage on Lake George. He enjoyed Saturday night card parties with best friends, his “toys” and his many buy, sell and trade transactions. Bob also enjoyed the many years that he dedicated to working in the hardware industry and the many friends and connections he formed over the years.

Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). A private interment will be held in Aylesford Union Cemetery, Aylesford. The family will receive visitors for a time of remembering and celebrating Bobby’s life on Saturday, January 13, anytime between the hours of 2 and 5 p.m., with words of remembrance being shared at 3 p.m., in the Aylesford and District Fire Hall, 1083 Park St., Aylesford. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bobby may be made to the Valley Hospice, 150-3 Exhibition St., Kentville, NS B4N 5E3.
