Some of my earliest memories from my childhood are of being with Uncle Tony and Aunt Susan. Together they made a remarkable duo and their love and respect for each other was so evident in all that they did. I still marvel at all of the capabilities that Uncle Tony had. I remember his bee hives that he kept and I think that it is pretty incredible that he had his own vineyard. His love and respect for the Earth was very plain to see as well. Uncle Tony had such a calm and friendly personality. I always felt loved and cared for by him. He lived a life of love and faith, and if you were blessed to be in his circle, you were a better person for it. Uncle Tony will be missed and I will treasure the things that I have learned from him.

Janet, Sarah and I want to express our sympathy over the sudden passing of Tony. Our families have had a close bond and for me in particular his friendship has lasted over fifty years. From our time at Acadia, through 35 years working together in the wildlife profession with the province and as retirees over the past 16 years, he has been a constant companion, sharing professional challenges as well as hunting and bird watching adventures. He will be sorely missed.

I enjoyed so much my time working with Tony through the Nova Scotia Beekeepers Association and the Nova Scotia Grape Growers Association. But even more so, time spent with both of you, sharing a glass of wine on the porch or at the dining room table, solving the problems of the world.
