Helen was one of those adults who "alternate parented" all the kids of my age with that loving and jovial sweetness that made us all say, " I wish YOU were MY mother !!!"
Helen was just like that all these years. She made the world a better place.

So very sorry to hear of Helen’s passing she was a character and always shared a laugh or two whenever I saw her ! She truly was one of the best God has put on this earth for all of us to learn from and she always told me that life can be great after 50 years old and to make sure I enjoyed family and friends and yes even a drink or two ! I have no memory of not knowing and loving my God Mother, Helen. A constant, unchanging, and wickedly funny, presence in my life for 60 years. Mischevously caring she was the ultimate loving friend who never seemed to be without a smile and hug. My life, and doubtless the same for countless others, is immeasurably better for having had Helen as a constant presence and influence. A life very well lived for which I will remain endlessly grateful.

In my line of work, you're not supposed to have favorites but sometimes someone crosses your path and changes that. Helen was so kind, so gentle, so loving and a little cheeky at times. She was so appreciative of every single thing I ever did for her. I wished we had more time with her but I am grateful for the memories we made. I'm so sorry that she's gone and I am also glad our paths crossed. I hope the memories she has left will help ease a bit of the pain.
