I worked with Frances for many years at HCH, in the ER and OR. SHe was always a very compassionate surgeon with a great bedside manner.
She talked about her husband, children, grandchildren, and yes, her dogs frequently, and was very proud and devoted to all of you.
I was unaware that she was ill, but certain that she is happy to be re-united with the love of her life. My deepest sympathy to all of her family.

I just wanted to say how sorry I am to hear of your mom’s passing she was a kind soft hearted lady and healing hands ! She treated all her patients like family willing to do whatever she could and she was amazing to me when I needed her 21 years ago. My heart goes out to you all but just know your mom was one of kind and always loved her family take care of each other as your mom would want you to make the best out of your time here on this earth remember her core values she installed in all of you ! I was a classmate in medical school and like many others in my class I was amazed by Francis from the start. I wonder if she ever realized how much we admired and respected her . She defined work-life balance for us and exemplified dedication and perseverance. She will be greatly missed.

I was a nurse in the O R working with Dr,Frances while she was in Windsor.Her compassion and her love of her calling was very obvious every day.She was so dedicated to her patients and cared deeply for each and every one.She was always so pleasant to talk to and work with. Her husband was always a topic of conversation and how much he had helped her while she was getting her Medical Degree so much so that we always referred to him as''MR.Wonderful''!!!My sincere sympathy to all the family at this sad time.I had retired before Frances did and was not aware of her illness.She will be happy to be united again with MrWonderful. Frances would have been labelled a "mature student" when she joined our class in 1979. If mature meant being sufficiently organized and dedicated to make it through her training, while raising her young family, then she earned that moniker emphatically. Most of us were challenged to just get out of bed, down a coffee, and make it to class on time. She was an inspiration then and throughout her career. A lovely person and she will be missed.

My wife Dr Joan McCracken and I worked with Frances from the time she came to Windsor until we retired in 2000. We loved being a college and friend of both her and Harold. She got us out of many a medical situation and was wonderful when we assisted her in surgery with all its stresses. After we retired, we lost contact to some extent and for that we have great regrets, as we loved being around her especially in the Dr’s lounge at the HANTS Community Hospital.
She will be missed and she was much loved by all

I was so sorry to read of Frannie’s death. I remember well babysitting Harold Jr and Michael while she studied for her medical degrees and Hal taught high school. Fran never seemed to mind that the boys and I daily destroyed their neat little apartment! Busy but very happy little family! She was such an important member of the extended Crowley clan and very well loved. My condolences to all.

Deepest Sympathy to Dr Crawleys families
Dr Crawley was my surgeon and many other family members.
My mom had skin cancer on her face, Dr Crawley looked at it and said oh we can remove that where you have a wrinkle no one will ever know.
This happened and even though Mom was in her eighties she was so pleased not to have a Hugh scar.
I had the privilege to meet Dr Crawley out side the RBC bank and got a chance to thank her once again,

At the young age of 35 I was diagnosed with bowel cancer and Dr Crawley removed a foot long section of my bowel. I am 33 yrs past the operation that saved my life. Forever in her debt.

I worked with Frances for many years both on the surgical unit and in the OR at Hants. She was a kind and compassionate woman and would work 24 hours a day if need be. She was truly in her element doing a case in the OR in the middle of the night. She was extremely kind to both my late mother and myself during her illness. I will never forget that.
