I wish to express my sincere condolences to you and your extended family for the sad loss of Diane.
When I was a young single mother in Charlottetown in the late 80’s and early 90’s Diane was always a beacon of class and decency that I appreciated and aspired to. I used to go into her store, Pinocchio’s from time to time looking for something special for my little girl to wear. Nearly all my daughter’s clothes at that time came from friends and second hand stores but once in awhile I would save to get something special from Diane’s store. Diane knew I had little money and she knew how much it meant for me to get something special for Hannah, my daughter. The times I went to buy she knew how much it meant for me to have something nice for my daughter and she always gave me a deep discount. She never made an issue of it she just gave me the dress for little or no profit. She treated me with respect and made me feel good about wanting something nice for my child. She truly understood my circumstances and always fussed over my girl making me feel good about her generosity and kindness. She was beautiful inside and out. Thank you Diane for treating me and many others with dignity and kindness. I was always slightly in awe of her physical and spiritual beauty. She was a woman’s woman through and through.
