Obituary of Phyllis Amy Eldridge

Please share a memory of Phyllis to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt, Phyllis Amy (Atwell) Eldridge of Hantsport, on November 17, 2023 at the age of 82, at the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville, surrounded by her loving family.

Phyllis worked hard her whole life at various jobs, including many years at CKF Inc. and the Hantsport Juice Plant. In her younger years, she enjoyed camping out Bishopville, and shopping with her special friend Joyce (Mossie). She was an avid baker and enjoyed making preserves such as jams, pickles, beets and beans.

She leaves behind her four children, Teresa (Tim), Brian, Kim (Mark), and Cam; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; her loving brother, Jimmy; special chosen daughter, Debbie Trider; sister-in-law, Eva (Grant); and brother-in-law, Frank (Janyce).

She was predeceased by her parents, Elmer and May; nephew, Michael; grandson, Reilley, chosen sister, Maxine Swinamer; special sister-in-law, Shirley Atwell; and Henry, the father of her children.

The family would like to send a huge thanks to the excellent and compassionate loving care our mother received from the staff on the surgical unit at Valley Regional Hospital and to Dr. Murphy, you were all amazing. A special thanks also to the Northwood Home Care girls. Mom appreciated everything you did for her and she thoroughly enjoyed your visits.

Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). A private ceremony will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Phyllis may be made to IWK Foundation (www.iwkfoundation.org). A limb has fallen from the family tree that says "grieve not for me".
Remember the "best times", the laughter, the song, the "good life",
I lived while I was strong.
