Obituary of William Weston Jones

Age 83, of Falmouth, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 6, 2026 in Rosecrest Meadows, Sackville. William was born on May 9, 1943 in Kennetcook and was a son of the late Eldon Hamilton and Jeanette Marie (MacAskill) Jones. 

William attended Nova Scotia Teachers College and Acadia University. He taught at Windsor Forks Elementary School for most of his career.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Margaret (nee Sinclair), Windsor; daughters, Pamela (Brian Gallant), Windsor and Patricia (Brydon Giesbrecht), Smithers, B.C.; grandchildren, Sophie, Grace and Elijah; brother, Robert, Greenwich; niece, Rebecca and nephew, Matthew; brother-in-law, George Boggs (Nancy); nieces, Dawn Boggs, Lynn Boggs and Marjorie Bingley.

Besides his parents, William was predeceased by sisters-in-law, Heather Jones (Sutton) and Elsie Bingley; brother-in-law, Russell Boggs.

The family would like to acknowledge the staff at Rosecrest Meadows for the exceptional care and compassion provided to William during his final three weeks.

Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). There will be no visitation or service.
