I met Arnold when I began working at Keyes Fibre in '73 and learned then of his love of running. He inspired me to run the 6 mile in '75 or ;76 and I have run it and the 2 mile many , many times. Also 3 of my 4 children have run the 6 mile and the 2 mile as well as my wife Lorraine. Sesch won the u-17 division , 2 mile in '93 and '95 receiving our first of Arnold's original wood turned trophies of which we have 4....my son Jacob, daughter Jasmine and wife all received one over the years. I once mentioned to Arnold that I was never fast enough to win one.....he later presented me with a candle holder he had turned while grinning his well known grin. The trophies have gotten beaten up a bit over the years and will be restored as they are true treasures of my family. Arnold and his mischievous wife Phyllis(who always teased me about cutting my hair) had become treasured friends of my whole family and we all miss them dearly.
