So sorry to hear of Eddie's passing. Aunt Maggie (my great aunt and my mother Kathleen Haley Frank's Aunt) was always so proud of her and of you Richard as well. I have a lovely picture of her as a young girl holding my older sister along with my older brother standing next to her. Condolences to you and Sid and family on her passing.

Sincere condolences to Sid and Richard at this sad time. I have such fond memories of Eddie from my days visiting Dick and Maggy at the old farm house with my grandmother Molly Doran. Her mom was also a Sweet and she was close to Dick and Maggy.. I visited with her many times from a very young age and can remember Eddie being so kind to me. Treasure the memories.

Sometimes in our journey through life, we are lucky enough to find that one person who fills in a lot of our gaps. Eddie was that person to me! In the thirty years that I’ve known her she has been like a mother, sister, neighbour and most importantly a great friend! We shared the good times and the bad times, the tears and the laughter , a drink on a Friday afternoon, the recipes, clothes if I needed that extra special something. The list could go and on. She had a big heart and I will miss her dearly. RIP Eddie and take my love with you.

Our family memories of the Sweet family began when my mom and dad were taken in by the family upon their return from World War 2. When Eddie was small, my mom was her baby sitter and in 1985 we met once again on Borgalds Pt. Eddie always paid special attention to our children, especially on Halloween and welcomed our pets with treats and her love for animals. We will miss her walks with Syd and the obligatory " talks" on the Road. Rest in peace. Love Bryan and Gail , Ryan and Moni Mitchell.

Ettie, as we knew her, was my father's first cousin. His mother was Nellie Sweet, sister to Dick Sweet. Ettie was usherette for my father at my parent's wedding in 1949. She always attended my parents anniversary celebrations, 25th, 40th and 50th. Sad to have another one of that generation go.
