I find it very difficult to think of Audrey without thinking of Fred. My first memory of Audrey is when l was around 5 years old. It was Billy's birthday party. l was sitting at the table, my face barely level with the table.
Audrey put a big round cake on the table. It was a white cake with white frosting and she had baked money into it. Fred was one of my best friends. My first memory of Fred is of me out playing in the yard and Fred called me over. He asked if l wanted him to make me a fishing pole. Of course I said yes. He cut an alder branch, tied a black fishing line to it, on the other end he tied a bolt and a few inches below that he tied on a hook. I caught plenty of fish in black brook with that pole. I have so many fond memories of Fred and Audrey to many to write here. Audrey and Fred were good people, great friends and great neighbours. I hope l never lose these memories as sadly, so many people do.
