When we were little, we (John, Gladys and the girls) would all go to the Dairy Treat on a Sunday evening and then we would drive over to visit with Uncle Cyril, Aunt Frances and the kids.
I love my ice-cream but loved my Uncle Cyril more!
I remember once going home to visit and had to talk to Uncle Cyril from his balcony in Windsor as there was an outbreak and we were not permitted to enter his building. It didn’t bother us that the whole building could hear us! lol
These are some of the memories that I will treasure. Thank you for letting me share some of my stories.

To the Woodman Family,
Sincerest condolences on the passing of Cyril.
I, like many other firefighters and veterans have had the great pleasure of serving with him at WFD.
I was a scrawny kid who joined during my last year of high school and It was comforting to know that guys like Cyril made you feel welcome to the organization.
He also showed us young bucks how to conduct ourselves and be proud of the organization to which we belonged. He didn’t have to say much, he lead by example.
Throughout the years as I sat on the back of beaver tails, at fire calls, training classes, meetings or other functions just how much you can take away from the conversations with Cyril. Lots!!
Thank you Cyril for the years of fire service and your dedication to your community.
Thinking of your entire family today and in the days ahead.

I loved coming to your house Tamara and seeing your mom and dad. Lots of sleepovers and giggles. Your dad was an incredible person and he loved to talk to me about the fact I played Hockey on a boys team. We talked a lot about sports. I remember feeling like it was a second home and even brought our exchange student to visit with your mom and dad. He was a legend and gave so much to his community. Sorry for your loss.
