Brad was an entrepreneur through and through with many successes along the way. Most will remember Brad for his years spent helping the community while operating Hood Hardware & Automotive Ltd. When asked about his accomplishments with the business he was always quick to respond to how proud he was to have his boys take the reins together. Brad wasn’t just a businessman either as he was very involved in many volunteer roles through out his life. In his very early years spent as a Sunday school teacher in Windsor to his most current position as the Nova Scotia Antique Engine & Tractor Association President.
Brad was also very much a country boy at heart. He spent his younger years heavily involved in farming activities and the agriculture industry. Brad was a very proud graduate of the Nova Scotia Agricultural College and had recently reunited with other graduates after attending his 50-year class reunion. Brad’s love of everything farming related had been reignited as he had been collecting and restoring antique tractors. His passion for tractors also led to a very close friendship with Gary, who he enjoyed travelling with to meet other collectors across North America.

Besides his parents, Brad was predeceased by his loving wife of 43 years, Jackie (Begin); infant brother, Dale; sisters-in-law, Jo-Anna, Patsy and Nina in infancy; brothers-in-law, Richard and Harold.
Brad was very loving of his late wife, his boys and their wives and animals, his dogs past and present and most recently the light of his eye and only grandchild, Wylie.
