Obituary of Linda Ann Gaudet

Age 77, of Garlands Crossing, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, January 5, 2026. Linda was born on March 4, 1948 in Halifax to Edward “Eddie” and Clara (Burns) Slaunwhite.

She is survived by her husband, Eloi; sons, Kevin and Greg; grandson, Alexander “Alex”; brother, Charles “Charlie”; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Besides her parents, Linda was preceded by five brothers.

Linda enjoyed so many things in life, including travelling, gardening, crafts, music, painting, reading, bird watching, her dog Bella and most of all, time with her family and friends.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all the staff at Hants Community Hospital, the Victoria General Hospital, the Palliative Care Team, VON and Home Care, who were the most wonderful people during Linda's short battle with cancer. The family would also like to thank DeMont Family Funeral Home, Heritage Memorial and a special thank you to all the friends, family and those of the community of Garlands Crossing who have been supportive and a source of strength during this time.

Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). At Linda’s request there will be no visitation or service. A private interment will be held at a later date. Donations in memory of Linda may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
