I have known Bev for more than 20 years and I remember him as a great guy and regular checker into the Old Timers Club Amateur Radio Sunday nets. Bev always had something good to say about everyone. It is so sad to learn of his passing and I send my condolences to his friends and family members.
73 Bev and Rest in Peace.

It comes as a surprise and also great sadness to learn of Bev's passing. A good friend of mine from Noel, Ron who also knew Bev, informed me this morning of his passing.
I wish to send my deepest sympathies, prayers and condolences to Bev's family and friends.
Around 5-8 years ago, I purchased an old 1930s deForest-Crossley floor standing radio from the Pidgeon Auctions here in Truro.
I then set about toward the project of restoring it.
Getting the cabinet back to nick I found the radio lump wasn't working.
I set out about finding someone in the area that knew about radios and was put on to Clarence - Bev - though one of his ham radio mates; Tom Brazil.
Tom made the call to Bev and then Bev called me. As it turned out, after a good bit of telephone conversation, Bev learned that my grandfather, Max Ross (VE1QM) was the fellow who ran "The Swap Shop" who Bev purchased his first HAM radio from.
As it turned out Bev and Max were HAM radio operator friends and because of this relationship I had the fortune of traveling down to Bev's home, with my tube lump in hand and whatever schematics/information I could find, to meet Bev, spend the afternoon talking and having a wonderful time.
Bev sorted out the old radio amplifier and it is here in the living room. We kept in touch until my moving away but whenever anyone asks about the deForest, Bev's name and the stories he told about he and my grandfather always comes out in conversation.
Thank you for your service and may you rest peacefully Sir.
Deepest sympathies, prayers and condolences to your family and friends...
God bless...
