Obituary of Florence Elizabeth Trenholm

Please share a memory of Florence to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with appreciation for a life well-lived and full of love that the family of Florence Elizabeth “Flo” Trenholm announces her passing into Heaven, which occurred peacefully on Monday, December 22, 2025, at the age of 88, in Moody Hall Enhanced Care Home, Bedford, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Moncton, NB on August 8, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Catherine (Hanlon) Evans.

Flo entered the Catholic Convent in Saint John as a young woman and then God decided He had other plans for this beautiful woman. She became a schoolteacher and married Vincent, who passed away at a young age and then found love again and married George, who passed away in 2020.

Florence was blessed with three children, Joseph, Theresa and Devin. She loved all her grandchildren, Bethany, Nathan, Brandon, Erin and Avery; nieces, Roberta (Bobbi) and Catherine; nephews, Troy and Paul; as well as her extended family and many friends at MacLeod House and around Windsor.

Besides her parents and husbands, Flo was predeceased by her dear sister, Joan and brothers, David and Harry.

Flo had great faith in God and volunteered at the Catholic Women’s League, Dykeland Lodge and at teaching children and adults literacy. She enjoyed singing and dancing, bingo, reading and journaling, country and gospel music, ice cream and vanilla cake, sparkling jewellery, feeding the birds and cuddling her cats. Flo always took time to share kindness and love with those around her, whether a friend or stranger. She also took the time to smell the roses but pansies were her favourite flower.

A very special thank you to the kind and compassionate nursing and care staff on Ludlow Court at Moody Hall in Bedford.

Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317), where the family will receive visitors on Monday, December 29 from 2-4 p.m., only.
