Obituary of Bruce Patrick O'Brien

Age 70, of Stellarton, passed away at home on Saturday, December 20, 2025. He was born March 3, 1955 in Halifax to the late George O’Brien and Eddy Myers and was raised by Ollie O’Brien.

Bruce is survived by his son, Scott (Tara), their children, Amber, Kristina, Anna, Aiden, Kyle and Keegan and granddaughter, Joan; daughter, Brenda and her children, Jaxon and Hailey; sisters, Dee Brown and her family; Donna Vardy, (Nicki, Dave and family)(Christina, Nicole and family)(Jessie, Jeremy and family) (Jaxon); Brenda (Bill)(Brandon and family); Janet (Chris) and family; Judy Spidle; nieces and nephews, Dale, Heather, Michelle O’Brien and many more.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by Ollie O’Brien; his wife to be, Margaret Sherman; brother, Brian; nephew, Kevin Simms.

He will be remembered for always keeping his family connections and his outgoing personality. Bruce could always be found doing odd jobs for all his family and friends. He especially loved doing special projects for his late wife to be, Margie and taking late-night walks with their dog Freya. His love of plants became big as Margie loved them as well.

Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). A graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bruce's memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
