Obituary of Nellie Elizabeth Patterson

It is with great sadness that the family of Nellie Elizabeth Patterson, of Truro, announces her passing on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 in Colchester East Hants Health Center, Truro. Born in Hantsport, on June 20, 1951, she was a daughter of the late Arthur Ford and Kathleen Mable (Pinch) Patterson.

Nellie will be missed by her siblings, William Patterson of Acton, ON; Elva (Don) Rogers of Saint John, NB; Blair (Linda) Patterson of Hantsport; foster brothers, Duayne Kelley and Terry Sampson both of NS; nieces, Lynn Patterson of NS; Cindy Rogers of Saint John,  NB; nephew, Justin Rogers of Saint John,  NB; great-nieces and nephew, Makayla Paul and Shayla Doyle both front NB and Brendun Rogers of NL; as well as all of her extended family.

Besides her parents, Nellie is predeceased by her beloved partner of 41 years, Albert Wilson Dalrymple; half-sister, Joyce Larsen and sister-in-law, Debra Patterson.

Special thank you to her dear friends, Beulah Morgan and Francis Hunt for always visiting and doing things for her. Also, thank you to the hardworking nurses and doctors of Colchester East Hants Health Center for their care of Nellie.

Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). There will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held in the Spring of 2026.
