Obituary of Margaret Elizabeth Sherman

Age 74, of Stellarton, passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2025 in the Palliative Care Unit, Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. She was born January 9, 1951 in Windsor and was a daughter of the late James and Kathleen (Fitzgerald) Sherman.

Margie spent most of her days taking care of her plants and flowers. She especially loved her flower gardens outside during the summer months. You could also find her doing small painting projects. She absolutely loved spending time with all of her family and friends and her dog, Freya.

She is survived by her boys, Christopher (Heather) McKinley (their children, Rachel and Emily); James McKinley (their children, Cavelle, Melissa and David); common-law husband, Bruce O’Brien; Dee Brown (Ina) and family; son, Scott (Tara) O’Brien (their children, Amber, Kristina, Anna, Aiden, Kyle and Keegan and great-granddaughter, Joan); daughter, Brenda O’Brien (their children, Jaxon and Hailey); brothers, Jim Sherman (Ejay, Tanya, Emily); Morris Sherman (children, Brian and Katie); nieces and nephews, April Sherman, David Sherman, Christopher Whitehead, Rebekah Longard, Hope (Paul) Molaison and their families. She also has many other grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Let’s not forget her large group of all her besties.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by sister, Shirley (Jim) Morine; brothers, Michael Sherman Armstrong, Patrick Sherman; nephew, James "Little Jimmy" Sherman; niece, Crystal Sherman.
