Obituary of David Charles Hebb

Please share a memory of David to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Age 77, of Falmouth, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly at home on Thursday, November 27, 2025. Born in Windsor on October 9, 1948, he was one of nine children and the last surviving son born to the late Charles “Charlie” and Winnifred “Winnie” (Dykens) Hebb.

David was a hard worker and would do anything for anyone. He spent his working life as a trucker working for various companies over his career. He loved his family, he enjoyed going for drives in the car and loved fishing, taking great pride in teaching his grandkids how to do the same. He was an avid collector of all things and could often be found stopping on the road and picking things up to take home as you never know when you may need or be able to use something. David loved to go for car rides to Bridgewater around Christmas to go shopping and look at Christmas lights. He also thoroughly enjoyed watching National Lampoons Christmas Vacation every year, which was his favourite Christmas movie.

He will be lovingly remembered by sons, Ian (Ella Lake) and Travis; grandchildren, David (Jessie), Madison (Andrice), Morgan Davis and Noah Burgess; great-grandson, Kohen Hebb-Charlie; sisters, Vera (Ronnie) Lawrence, Lorna (Kevin) Chaisson, Cathy, Mary (John) Coffill and Jackie (Mike) Card; former daughter-in-law, Donna Dowe; sisters-in-law, Peggy and Rosanne; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, David was predeceased by his wife, Elaine (Wile); brothers, Jimmy and John and sister, Donna.

Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). As per David’s wishes there will be no visitation or service. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family by visiting: www.demontfamilyfuneralhome.ca.
