Sincere sympathy at this sad time. I met Lacie when I worked with deaf students at the high school. She was an outgoing friendly student who was always ready to strike up a conversation. More recent I would meet her at New Boundaries . I always admired her positive attitude in the face of her challenges. May your memories be a comfort

Sherry and the boys, to say we were floored is an understatement. We were just talking about the BlueJays game where they lost. Our Prayers and love are with all of you. She had a place in our hearts, that will never be filled again. Stay strong in the knowledge that Lacie was loved by all, and she is in Heaven, watching down on you, happy and running around with family and friends. We'll never forget Lacie. Take care, and we love all of you. xoxo

My family & I had the pleasure of meeting Lacie and getting to know her, when my brother in law Daniel, moved into Kendall Lane and began working at New Boundaries. Lacie was always so very friendly and kind. We always took the time to have a chat with her when we were in for a visit. She had a wonderful sense of humour and was a very good friend to Daniel. We were so sorry to hear of her passing and wanted to express our condolences to Lacie’s family. May your memories of Lacie help you through these difficult times.

To Lacies beloved family....
Knowing Lacie thru New Boundaries & Kendall Lane , she truly was a blessing to Cara & I, keeping us company in Cara's apt during a time of uncertain illness & the Covid time , where she along with other the other residents kept us company, playing cards & keeping our spirits intact ...
She read Cara's birthday cards last year , which made Cara very happy ...she will indeed be missed , but left an indelible place in our hearts ...enjoy those heavenly hugs , as you so willingly shared yours with us...

I taught Lacie during my time as the Learning Center teacher at Avon View high school. She was a wonderful soul. She brought smiles and laughter wherever she went and had such a positive attitude, despite her challenges. Learning of her loss brought a tear to my eye. The world is a little less bright without her in it. My sincere condolences to her family and loved ones.

After teaching for 37 years, I decided to substitute in the Learning Centre at Avon View in 2011. It was one of the best decisions of my life. I met so many memorable students, and Lacie was at the top of the list. She was so mature, but still loved to have a good time and enjoyed sharing her expertise. And Lacie had expertise in everything. She loved to help her teachers and Educational Assistants in the classroom. She felt so important helping her fellow students, but ask so got a kick out of giving them a hard time too for fun. Her heart was wide open to everyone. Even if she didn’t especially like you, she kept an open mind and an open heart. I saw her many times at New Boundaries after graduation. She was her same sweet self. Lacie, you were a joy to know and to love. May you run like the wind in heaven, and I do hope your cloud is purple. ❤️⭐️❤️

I fondly remember Lacie when she was a student at Avon View during the years when I was principal there. There was a coffee mug in my office with her name on it for when she would come and visit me. We would often enjoy some coffee and delightful conversation together and she would always brighten everyone's day in the office and throughout the school.
She was the perfect role model of a happy student who radiated positivity to everyone she met.
My sincerest condolences to her family.
