Dear Claire ( and children) , and extended Donovan family;
Diane and I take this moment to send to you our belated yet sincerest condolences on the passing of cousin Barry.
Although Barry and I did not know one another , as we grew up in different parts of Nova Scotia at different times, it is always sad when one learns of a family member’s passing.
We are thinking of all of you at this sad time and hope that Barry’s memory will be a blessing.
Cousin Charles Ponee, and Diane

Claire, we want to send you and your children our heartfelt condolences on your great loss. You and Barry have lived in our little community for many years and Barry , while he was a quiet man, would give a simple nod or a slight wave when out tending his lawn or working on the house. While we didnt know him well, he will be missed by many.

Claire and family,
So saddened to read of Barry's passing. Barry had a dry sense of humour which will be missed. Your heart must be broken Claire.
My deepest sympathy.

Very sorry to learn of Barry's passing. Many memories of our time together studying graphic design at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. Barry was the consummate professional, always helpful and often inspirational in his approach. Those of us who studied with him will always recall his approach, raising graphic design beyond simply an art form to a business model. Thank you for all you shared during those years.

My thoughts are with you all as you travel though this new journey.. I knew Barry through 4H as one was always present and quietly doing whatever was needed. His smile was gentle. My memory would be the tubing on the Gaspereau hardly laughing - we did have lots of fun that day. Memories are precious and may they somehow help as you face the days ahead. Thinking of you all.. Diane & Wendell

Claire & family;
When we bought your house back in 2005, we didn't know then, that we would become good friends for these past 20 years. We will always hold our many memories of shared dinners, shows and table games with him. He was a true gentlemen and gifted man in his meticulous eye for design and wood work. We will miss Barry so much and send our most heartfelt condolences to you Claire as well to Carrie & Jeff & family.
I will always chuckle when I remember the time we went to watch a movie and looking over to see Ern asleep on Barrie's shoulder. Always a good sport.
We will keep in touch. Love and Blessings for you all.
Glennis & Ern.

My deepest sympathy to you Claire, Jeffrey and Carrie. You will have such wonderful memories to share and remind you of Barry. I think of the wonderful four years I spent at the cottage building a new life and getting to know you all. The fun evenings of learning bridge with my folks. My thoughts are with you.

Barry was my cousin, my memories of Barry is mostly when we were young and spent time in the summer with our grandmother in Ingonish. He would teach us new cards games we didn't know and taught us how to do a fancy shuffle of the cards, our mother would have to chase away from the table and tell us to go to the beach. We had some fun times. We lived in Sydney and he was in Bedford so we didn't see each other much. My sincere sympathy to Claire and family. R.I.P. Barry
