Barbara Carmichael

Obituary of Barbara Ann Carmichael

Please share a memory of Barbara to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Age 77, of Leminster, passed peacefully in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor, on Sunday, October 12, 2025. Born August 9, 1948 in Three Mile Plains, she was a daughter of the late Cyril and Joyce (Caldwell) Kelly.

Her passions included many things but she loved her gardens, animals (large and small), baking wedding cakes with her best friend, Marie and of course the joy of her life was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

If anybody knew Barb they knew that she loved Christmas. She would start in November and just like that, it was a magical Christmas land that any child would love, even a few adults.

Barb is survived by daughter, Donna (Lloyd); sons, Donnie (Carolyn), Cyril (Carrie) and Bobby; grandchildren, Jeremy (Jessie), Steven (Brittany), Jonathan (Sidney), Kailie (Mitchell) and Aleisha; great-grandchildren, Destiny, Ollie and Wesley, Alexa, Emma, Dillinger and Cameron, Abby and Sophie, Wyatt, Remi and Maisie.

Beside her parents, she was predeceased by husband, Donald; brother, Burton; sister, Bonnie; daughter, Dody and grandson, Justin Brady.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Hants Community Hospital for the compassion shown in her last week and everyone who was involved with her care at Dykeland. A special thank you to Molly the Cat and Merle.

Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). In accordance with Barb’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A family celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
