Such a lovely man and neighbour.
I didn't get to know him well, but he was a treat to talk to outside with his dog anytime I was out walking my pup.
He let me know he hung the windows in my home and built the cabinets. I'll smile when i think of it.

As a long-time neighbour of Doug, I am saddened by his passing. Over the past several years I would look forward to the occasional beer with him as we sat in his driveway, along with Marley of course, and chatted about the weather, hockey, and life in general. He became a good friend and he will be missed. My thoughts are with you Patsy and Nick.

To the family of Mr. Spencer, I send my heartfelt condolences to all of you. He was a wonderful neighbour that I had the pleasure of chatting with, about gardening, making pickles or his beloved Marley. I would sometimes drop some muffins or cookies off to him and he would tell me how his daughter Pat took such great care of him. I will miss our conversations and his presence in his yard with Marley. May he rest in peace.

So sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. I see lots of people from the "old neighborhood" remembering your Dad. I think it is safe to say our dads were more like brothers than friends. I know Dad enjoyed his talks with Doug during his own final years. Sadly we cannot stop the passage of time but we can try and find solace in good memories. Thinking of you.
