Obituary of James Walter MacLeod
We are sad to announce the passing of James Walter “Jim” MacLeod, age 83, of Three Mile Plains, on Sunday, September 21, 2025. He battled various illnesses over a long period of time and passed peacefully in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville, with his wife by his side. Born on February 13, 1942 he was the son of the late Walter and Dorothy (Millen) MacLeod.
Jim loved animals, they were drawn to him and he would have great conversations about them with anyone. He enjoyed feeding the birds and had a large following of them in his yard. He was also passionate about playing his guitar and singing at jam sessions.
Jim is survived by his common-law wife, Linda Maynard, who was by his side faithfully through illness, as well as her family and other extended family members.
Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). As per Jim’s wishes there will be no funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jim may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family by visiting: www.demontfamilyfuneralhome.ca
