My condolences to Don's family on his passing. I met Don when his dad was herdsman for my uncle Dick Sweet at his farm in Curry's Corner in the 40's. We kept in touch until Don joined the Army and I joined the RCAF.

My condolances. Don and I were together at CFB Borden, ON in 1967 where Don served as a member of Canada's Military Tattoo. I remember him as very upbeat and friendly. We celebrated the fact that we were the only guys from Three Mile Plains there at that time.

Tim, Tammy, Todd, family and friends of Don. The sincerest of condolences on your loss. My favourite memory of Don was his hiring me to work the highways as a flag person in the eaarly 80's. Due to Don's military background he gave me permission to take time off in order to attend a qualification course at Aldershot for the militia. That showed me a form of leadership that I attempted to emulate within my career in the army. Develop your people, even when the qualification may not pay off for you. Kind thoughts to all, The Hunters, Wade and Jeanice

Dear Tim, Todd and Tami: it is with much sadness that we send our most sincere condolences to you all in the loss of your Father Donald. He and I go back a very long way having met and gone through military basic training in Petawawa Ontario in 1959. During our years with the Canadian Guards we shared overseas deployment to Germany and Cyprus. Later as families he and Diane lived in Picton and we both welcomed our first child in 1963. Years passed but always in touch or visited. He will be so missed . Our telephone conversations will be so missed. May it help to know we are thinking of you all at this most difficult time.
Sincere sympathy,
Glenn and Diane Splaine
Picton, Ontario
