Obituary of N. Dale Seary

SEARY, Norman "Dale"

Age 76 of Three Mile Plains, passed away peacefully Thursday, September 4, 2025 at home. Born September 1, 1949 in Windsor, he was a son of the late Robert and Jeanie (Docherty) Seary.

As a young boy Dale had the misadventure of falling in a well while retrieving water; a tale he told on many occasions. He loved keeping his lawn mowed and looking nice, Volkswagens, playing cards and piling his wood a “certain way”. Dale was a hardworking journeyman carpenter and adored his cats and he was often referred to as the “cat whisperer”.

Dale is survived by his loving spouse, Frances Henshaw; son, Jamie (Lauren); daughter, Kimberley (Michael); stepsons, Eddie (Kelly) and Terry; his siblings, Sonny (Sharon), Heather, Glenna (Greg), Randy (Valerie), Michael, Wendy (Moreno), Timmy (Sheila) and Shawn; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; four step grandchildren and four step great grandchildren; the mother of his children, Debbie Seary; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Dale was predeceased by his sister, Jeanie and brother-in-law, Peter Harvey.

Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). A public graveside service will take place at 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 12 in Maplewood Cemetery, 1186 King St., Windsor. Please bring a chair if required.
