Obituary of Roy Stanley Boutilier
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our Dad, Roy Stanley Boutilier, age 71, of South Rawdon, Hants Co., who passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 in the VG Site, QEII Hospital, Halifax. Born in Head of St. Margaret’s Bay, he was a son of the late Stanley and Elvina (Munroe) Boutilier.
Roy was a fun-loving family man who was always the life of the party. He worked his career as a carpenter and helped build Boutilier’s Glen Campground with his father, Stan. He belonged to many clubs and associations throughout his life. He was an avid outdoorsman and spent a lot of his time building trails on his tractor, side by side or ATV. He enjoyed many years at his camp on Long Lake and more recently, at his brother's camp. He loved music, spending time with family and friends and telling stories about "the good ol' days". He had an impact on all who knew him.
He will be deeply missed by daughters, Jenn Boutilier and Kate (Erik) Mueller; grandsons, Hendrix, Ethan, Ean and Erikson; brothers, Garnet, Perry (Lynn) and Mark (Teffrina); six nieces and nephews and many extended loved ones.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sister-in-law, Barbara Boutilier.
Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). A celebration of life will be held from 2-4 p.m., on Friday, August 8, 2025 in the Brooklyn Civic Centre, 995 Hwy. 215, Brooklyn. We want to celebrate Roy’s life in a way he would have wanted.
