Obituary of Annie Marion Mosher
Age 89, of Three Mile Plains. The family is saddened to announce the peaceful passing of Annie Marion “Nan” Mosher on Saturday, July 5, 2025 in the Windsor Elms Village, Falmouth. Born September 16, 1935, in New Ross, she was the daughter of the late Forman and Marguerite (Walker) Levy.
Besides her parents, Annie has now been reunited with her husband, Albert “Abe” and siblings, Sperry, Cecil, Carroll, Clyde, Allan, Foster and Helen.
Annie's legacy lives on through her children, Joe (Rosalind), Halifax; Janet (Robert), Starr’s Point; Sandra (Bruce), Centre Burlington; Glenn (Rebecca), Lakelands and Colleen (Douglas), Waterville. She is also survived by grandchildren, Teressa, Laura, Margaret, Isaac, Ben, Jacob, Josie, Sarah, Stephanie and Leah; great-grandchildren, Angus, Atna, Eira, Foster, Nora, Audrey, Saxson, Cahlum, Quinn, Oakley, Mason and Emily; as well as her sister, Ina Smith (Bernie, deceased); brothers, Vernon (Bonnie) and Roy (Amelda).
Annie embodied resilience and independence. She raised their five children, often on her own, while her husband was at sea in the Navy. After Albert’s passing, she continued to oversee her property and remained the heart of her family. Annie was a vital partner in various family businesses, including the H&R Block franchise, the laundromat, the ice cream shop and the apartment building. Her dedication to work and family was unwavering, even maintaining the apartment building for several years after Albert’s passing. A pillar of the Three Mile Plains community, Annie was always ready to lend a helping hand. She was deeply involved in the community hall, preparing meals and gathering donations for the weekly jam sessions. Her countless hours of volunteer work earned her the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Volunteer Award and numerous other recognitions. Annie's passions extended to cooking and gardening. Many mornings, her family awoke to find their favorite pies already prepared. Her love for nurturing flowers and maintaining her property was evident to all who visited.
Above all, Annie's greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. Known affectionately as Nan, she was a trusted confidante and a source of unconditional love and support, always ready to offer a kind word or a helping hand. In her final years, Annie faced the challenges of aphasia with grace and humor. The Windsor Elms staff cherished her infectious smile and pleasant demeanor.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the Windsor Elms staff for their exceptional care, and to Carol Wells, Brenda Bond, Karen McCarthy and Mary Decoste for their unwavering support and love.
