Obituary of Ruth Elizabeth Carr

Age 80, of Windsor Forks, passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2025 in the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in Truro, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Phyllis (Watson) Eagles.

Ruth lived a full and active life and was loved by all. She enjoyed traveling, dancing with the square dancers and being a member of the Red Hatters. Most of all she enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was dearly loved and will be sadly missed by her husband of 62 years, Jack; as well as by her children, son, Andrew; daughter, Lorraine (Lindsay) Campbell; grandchildren, Ryan, Justin, Rebeka, Emily and Cailun; great grandchildren, Evie Rose, Gideon, Sanya, Holly, Eeria and Dominic; brothers, Wallace “Ted” Eagles and Randolph Typert; sister, Sandra (Dave) Crossley.

Besides her parents, Ruth was predeceased by brothers, Phillip and Oswald “Fred” Eagles; sister, Pauline Vanderhorning. 

Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). A celebration of Ruthie’s life will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025 from 1-3 p.m. in Glad Tidings Worship Center, 5398 Chester Road, Windsor, NS B0N 2T0.
