Obituary of Irene Margaret McIsaac

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Irene Margaret McIsaac on Friday, May 23, 2025, at the age of 80, in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Irene passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with kidney disease. She was born May 26, 1944 and was the daughter of the late Margaret Armstrong.  

Irene’s favourite holiday was Christmas where her house was the hub of activities and laughter, along with tormenting her grand kids and them tormenting her. In years past Irene and Butch really enjoyed camping where she would place her lawn chair down by the river and enjoy watching all her grandkids swimming.

 She is survived by her four children, Marlene (Derrick) Robinson; Jack (Jan Higgins) McIsaac; Brad (Pauline-Brenda Moreau) McIsaac; Tania (Mark) Riley; nine grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; her very best friend of seventy plus years, Joyce Reynolds (sisters by choice).

Irene was predeceased by her beloved husband of 63 years, Vernon “Butch” Henry McIsaac and her mother, Margaret Armstrong.

The family would like to thank all the Doctors, Nurses and staff on Unit 200 of Hants Community Hospital for their overwhelming support and kindness.

Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). At Irene's request there will be no celebration of life and a private family interment will take place where her and Butch's remains will be placed together as it was meant to be. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family by visiting: www.demontfamilyfuneralhome.ca.
