Obituary of Blaine Parnell Newcombe

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Blaine Newcombe announces his passing on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 in Windsor, where he resided with his beloved wife, Marilyn. Born on March 10, 1938, Blaine was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. 

Blaine was a longtime and dedicated employee of Allstate Insurance, where he earned numerous awards for his exceptional service and sales throughout his career. He retired in the late 1990s, settling in Windsor with Marilyn to enjoy his well-earned retirement. An avid sports fan, Blaine could often be found watching the game on TV or sharing laughs and hands of cards with his buddies at the local Legion. His quick wit, warmth and unwavering loyalty will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Blaine is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn; three sons, John (Marion) Newcombe, Halifax; Brian (Rhonda), Newcombe, Oxford and Ronald (Karen) Newcombe, Camrose, Alberta. Blaine was a proud grandfather to Nichole, Carlin, Sheldon, Varonika and Vanessa, each of whom brought him immense joy.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Joan (DeGaust) Newcombe in 1987.

Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). A private family funeral service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Blaine's memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
