It is with deep sadness that the family of Donald Harry Whynot, of Windsor, Hants County, announces his passing on Wednesday, May 21, 2025. Born on February 2, 1941, in New Germany, Lunenburg County, Donnie was the son of the late Walter and Meda (Tipert) Whynot.

A proud graduate of New Germany Rural High School, Donnie continued his education at the Nova Scotia Teachers College in Truro, where he earned a degree in Physical Education. His passion for teaching and commitment to youth development led to a 28-year career at Windsor Regional High School, where he taught Physical Education, coached numerous sports teams and spent endless hours fundraising. Throughout his life, Don found joy in many activities: curling, golfing, fishing, hunting, gardening, playing bridge and cribbage and enjoying cherished gatherings with family and friends.
