I would like to express to Ralph's family, my condolences with his passing, which I am just learning about. I met Ralph in the late 1980s when I was working at the Public Archives of Nova Scotia, and he would came in to do his research. We both have an interest in several families from the Digby area, my maternal grandfather's first wife was a Savary, so a cousin to you. Again, my sincere condolences.

I worked in Reception at KRRC for many years and always enjoyed Ralph's visits to the front desk. He always had a tidbit of wisdom to share. May he rest in peace.

I will miss Ralph's daily visits and lectures about how I can work better.
Ralph was full of life and loved a good joke. We printed many articles for his genealogy projects.

Sincere condolences to the family. I have so many great memories of Ralph and is daily visits or calls. He was exceptional at researching family trees. He located the graves in a local cemetery of my Great Great grandparents which was unknown to our family. He will be missed.

Ralph was such a fun and comical guy. I enjoyed our banter back and forth, our conversations about life and what he was researching, our negotiations over how many pages I should print as well as his dry sarcasm over my inability to hit "control P" or follow basic computer instruction. He helped to ignite in me my own interest in genealogy for which I am very grateful. Your presence in our lives will be so missed "Ralphieus". My deep condolences to your family at this time.

I never met Ralph, but wish I had. I’m a history buff and Eastlink once recorded a talk I did at the Kings County Museum about the former “Poor Farms of Kings County.” It was on Eastlink’s Podium TV and Ralph watched several times. My son works at KRRC and Ralph knew that he was my son and often asked him how I was doing with my history stuff. He also sent me an envelope with information that he thought I would enjoy. My condolences to his family and those individuals, who were lucky enough to interact with Ralph at the KRRC.

Ralphie will definitely be missed by his KRRC family. I loved his dry humour. The nicknames he had for us. I made sure his toast was burnt to perfection, and that he was well caffeinated. In turn, he gave me “job security”. He once told me he appreciated me. Not because of the things I did for him, but because of my “sweet disposition” and I cared. That I did. I had grown to care about him very much. Miss you Ralphie.

Ralph was a joy in so many people’s lives. He never failed to make me smile or laugh when he would ask “can I have a little bit of whatever you’re drinking?” (most of the time, he got his wish). Ralph had an amazing library full of documents, obituaries, and hand written letters. He was an intelligent man on a missions.
I miss his smile, wittiness, and quick retorts of, “boo you’re fired, go home!”.
Ralph, you’ll always be in my heart and thoughts - may you rest easy my friend
