It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Barbara Joan Boutilier, age 69, of South Rawdon, Hants Co., who passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 11, 2025 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Hubbards, she was a daughter of the late William “Bill” and Gwendolyn “Gwen” (Mills) Norwood and the beloved wife of Garnet for 50 wonderful years.

Barbara was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She found great joy in gardening and this nurturing spirit extended to those around her. She was known for her caring nature, always checking in on family and friends and offering support.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Garnet; children, Richard (Jennifer) and Allen; cherished grandchildren, Becka and Warren; sisters, Brenda (Alan), Judy (Paul) and Kathie, who will miss her dearly; brothers-in-law, Roy, Perry (Lynn) and Mark (Tefferina) and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by twin brother, Billy and sister, Susan.

Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317), where the family will receive visitors from 4-6 p.m., Tuesday, May 20 and ask that you come in casual attire.
