Obituary of Charles Russell Purdy

Age 62, of Three Mile Plains, passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 5, 2025 in Windsor. He was the only son of the late Joan (Marr) and Frederick “Fred” Purdy.

He was a longtime employee at SuperClean having worked there for over 30 years. In his younger years he played in the Windsor Minor Hockey League, senior hockey and baseball leagues and bowled in the TMP League.

Chuck is survived by sisters, Claire, Garlands Crossing and Cathy, Windsor; best friend, Julie Frank-McCarthy and her children, Marina and Zach, who referred to him as their Uncle Chuck; as well as other extended family members. He will also be missed by furry companions, Missy, Sheba, Jem, Norrie and Macy.

Special thanks to Julie who has been a constant friend for the past 40 years, especially over the last 10.

Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). An Open House Celebration of Life will be held 2-4 p.m., Thursday, April 10 in the Three Mile Plains Community Hall, 4474 Hwy. 1, Three Mile Plains.
