
Obituary of Ann Marie (Feener) Gibson
Passed away Saturday, March 22, 2025, in St Vincent’s Nursing Home, Halifax. Born on April 23, 1948, in Liverpool, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Josephine “Joy” (Lewis) Feener from Liverpool.
In her early years Ann moved to Halifax to pursue a career in the insurance business. Soon after, she met her husband, Henry and they started their own family. Ending the city life, Ann, Henry and Andrew moved back to Liverpool and created Hank’s Variety. As life changed, Ann and Henry relocated to Windsor where they built their last family home. She developed a great circle of friends she often spoke about while working part time at Bens Thrift store. Coffee with the girls was always on the schedule, however. For five years Ann was fortunate to be with Andrew in his home before moving to St. Vincent’s due to Parkinsons. Her grandsons playing a huge role in her daily living. Colten has so many good memories of Nanny he can’t think of just one. Triton can recall capturing pictures of Nanny asleep on the couch. Both boys will hold her close in their hearts.
Ann is survived by her loving son, Andrew and his sons, Colten and Triton; brother, Joey; sister-in-law, Donna and nephew, Evan.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her true soulmate, Henry and brother, Michael.
The family would like to thank St. Vincent's Nursing Home for their care and compassion over the last couple of years.
Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). A public graveside service will take place 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 4 in Maplewood Cemetery, 1186 King St., Windsor, Rev. Bill Gibson officiating. Please bring a chair and umbrella if required.
