Obituary of Grete (Hersom Petersen) Weaver

Age 82, of Kempt Shore, Hants Co., passed away on Friday, February 21, 2025 in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born on December 19, 1942 in Kempt Shore, Hants Co., she was a daughter of the late Erik and Ellen (Rassmussen) Hersom Petersen.

Grete is survived by her husband, John Arthur “Art” along with sons, David (Sharlene), Bozeman, Montana and Steven (Tina), at home.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Nils and sister, Kirsten.

Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). A private burial and time of reflection will be held at a later date in Avon View Cemetery, Kempt Shore.  In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Grete may be made a charity of one’s choice.
