We were shocked and dismayed to learn of Anne's recent passing so soon after she and Bob retired from the business. We always enjoyed stopping by the store, even if just for the little things, perusing and , chatting with her. Her assistance with Jack in choosing his "jewellery surprises" always hit the mark - we will remember her each and every time one is worn. I did one if my work placements with Anne in High School, so that wasn't yesterday Ha,ha
It was when she had tole painting set up in the back of the store, that was one of the best placements ever, she was the first Adult that treated me like a person not a dumb teenager, and I will forever be grateful.
I hope it's okay to tell a funny story here,
One day while we were working she asked me to go upstairs to find a toll painting thing I can not remember what the name it was but she said "You'll know it when you see it it looks like a penis"
Then when I couldn't find it she totally made fun of me for not knowing what a penis looked like

Bob & family, I met Anne over 30 years ago when she gave a painting class in the back room of the store. From then on whenever we met we had one of those, what's happening in West Hants chats. This past summer we connected again at her house at Volgers Cove. She was having a yard sale and yes she was an excellent sales person! I was waiting for the weather to improve to visit. I am so very sad I did not get there. Over recent months we talked about her diagnosis and the challenge it presented. My heart ached, she was such a dynamo, the prognosis was hard to grasp. Anne is soaring now, safe journey dear soul.
