I wish I had the chance to see her again when I went over for my visit. My condolences to my cousin Misty, Zack, and Andrew for the passing of Auntie Shirl.
I wasn't a part of your family for very long, but the time we had together was mostly fantastic.

I loved Shirl like a second mother, she always used to refer to me as her other daughter and would fight me on it if I tried to correct her. She would kiss me on the cheek every time I left and would make sure I gave her a hug before bed every time I was over.
My heart is shattered for Misty and her family. I love all of you so much.

Shirl was an amazing person to work with and to know. I loved working with her at tim horton's. She always knew when and how to me me laugh. It was a true honor and privilege to know her.

One of my earliest memories ever was with Misty and Shirl. Misty and I were only about 6 years old. She had taken Misty and I to Hennigars for some icecream and we went on a trail walk. I remember Shirl having to help me climb over a fallen tree because I was too scared to climb over it! After, Misty and I were hungry and we got to go to Mcdonalds for some happy-meals. Shirl being the awesome woman she was had gotten permission from staff for us to eat in the party room so we could talk and laugh as loud as we want.
