For years...when Rob worked at the Irving Station up at 5 Points in Hants Border.... after he had pumped the gas, he always ended the fill-up with the same words "Happy Motoring". Will never forget that. He was a great guy who was always courteous and friendly. Condolences to his entire family.

My most sincere Condolences to Robert’s Family. We grew up together on Porters Ave. He was a huge Batman Fan and made sure all the kids knew at 7 O’clock on Thursdays that it was time to watch the show. We were all envious of the lawn tractor his father bought him. He was a huge part of some great summers prior to our teen years. RIP.

Heather, We are still trying to get our heads around this, I talked to him a few months ago and he seemed like Robert. He was a good guy and will be missed. Met Robert at the Halifax Antique Car Clubs 50th anniversary and became good friends going to plenty of car shows together and talking to each other on the phone on a regular basis. You are now free from your pain. It was a pleasure knowing you.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Robert was a wonderful man and a great teacher- he trained me ( one of the first women to be trained) as a printer operator at CKF. Where others scoffed and scorned, Robert remained very professional and taught me everything that he could about the job. I always appreciated that. He had said “ I can tell you what to do, but you have to find your own way to do it.” I still follow that to this day.
