Obituary of Joyce Norris
NORRIS, Joyce Anne
Age 51, of Windsor, passed peacefully on Thursday, August 31, 2017 in Hants Community Hospital. Born January 5, 1966 in Windsor, Joyce was the beloved daughter of the late Clarence "Bud" and Evelyn (Harvey) Norris.
She is survived by aunts, Verna and Hazel; uncle, John; and cousins, Nicole, Michael, Jimmy, Darlene and Kathleen.
Joyce was a nursing graduate of the Victoria General Hospital and Dalhousie University. A loving fur-parent to Buffy and Dudley, Joyce had a warm heart and a kind soul. Joyce loved flowers, animals, the seaside, and her friends. She will certainly be missed by Pastors Shant and Rob and her special SALT friends, Hughena, Barbie, Bonnie, and Winnie. She was well loved by her "adopted" family of Florence, George, Devin, Joe, Theresa, David, Bethany, and Nathan.
A very special thank you to the kind and compassionate nursing staff on units 200 and 500 at the Hants Community Hospital.
Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317), where a visitation and photo celebration will be held from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, September 2. A funeral service celebrating Joyce's life will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, September 3 in Windsor United Baptist Church, 411 King St., Windsor, Rev. Rob Heffernan and Rev. Shant Manuel officiating.
