Obituary of Kenneth Melvin Riley

Age 77, of Three Mile Plains, passed away peacefully at home, on Tuesday, August 22, 2017. Born in Windsor on August 29, 1939, he was a son of the late Melvin and E. Grace (Wile) Riley Ken was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a welder by trade and did construction work, having worked for Fundy Gypsum, Parsons, Industrial Machinery in Halifax and Gateway Material. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and going to his wood lot at Mill Lake. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Joyce (Macumber); son, Michael, at home; daughters, Carol, Three Mile Plains and Anna (Danny) Harvey, Newport Station; grandchildren, Justin and Steven Harvey, Newport Station; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Kenneth was predeceased by his brother, Reuben; grandparents, Reuben and Laura Wile; Robie and Elizabeth Riley. Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Windsor (902-798-8317). A graveside service will be held 2:30 p.m., Friday, August 25 in Maplewood Cemetery, Windsor, Rev. Tom Henderson officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Kenneth may be made to Valley Regional Hospital, ICU Department, 150 Exhibition St., Kentville, NS B4N 5E3.
