MURRAY, Glenna Lenora Age 84, of Hantsport, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 2, 2016. Born January 19, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Percy and Hilda (Fletcher) Greenough. Glenna was a member of the Hantsport Baptist Church, and the Kings Daughters' Women's Group. She was an avid dancer, wonderful knitter and a cook who loved her sweets, especially chocolate. Glenna is survived by her four children, and their families, including daughters, Sharon Coffin (Bob), Regina SK; Pat Murray (Rae Vass), Regina, SK; Trudy Power (George), St. John's, NL; son, Peter Murray (Belinda), Hantsport, NS; grandchildren, John Coffin (Tia); Brianna Coffin; Stefanie Marbach; Luke McCabe (Roxy); Shaun McCabe; as well as two great grandchildren, Peyton and Brett Coffin. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, John William Murray; siblings, Claire Tracey (Roy); Owen Bowie (Vie); Stella Hammett (Charlie); Herbert Greenough (Dorothy); Polly Baxter (Charlie); and Myrtle Haley (Stuart). Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., PO Box 981, Windsor, NS B0N 2T0 (902-798-8317). The family would like to welcome visitors to come by the funeral home, Wednesday, December 7 anytime between 1 pm and 2:30 pm to visit with them, in the Elmcroft Reception Centre, share stories and enjoy a light lunch. A private family graveside service will be held after the reception in Riverbank Cemetery, Hantsport. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Glenna may be made to the Alzhimer's Society of Nova Scotia, 112-2719 Gladstone St., Halifax, NS B3K 4W6.
